Testa is an absolute goddess. I still can't believe the performance I saw her do in First Lady Suite as Lorena Hickok -- one of the greatest vocal/acting peformances I've ever seen. A true tour de force.

I saw Mary Testa in Chicago over the summer and she was amazing. SO SO good. I hadnt heard of her previously. A few weeks ago I saw her in SWIWS and again she was amazing. Shes got great comedic timing and her voice is absolutely wonderful. After the show she came out and was signing my friends playbill and my friend told her how wonderful she was and I chimed in that she was great and that I had seen her in Chicago over the summer and loved her in that too and she looked up at me and made eye contact before signing my playbill and was like "Really? Im glad!" and then signed.

Seems like a lame story but the fact that she stopped what she was doing for a second to make eye contact was awesome. She was so so sweet.

She stopped the show with her rendition of "Change" in A NEW BRAIN. In fact, every scene she was in as The Homeless Lady was brilliant.
