The Mason Street Warehouse is in Saugatuck, MI which is a quaint and charming town on the shores of Lake Michigan. It attracts a summer crowd mostly, and along with sister-city, Douglas is a gathering spot for gays from Chicago and Detroit. The theater company is fairly new and does summer productions when the area is swamped with tourists. I doubt if it could survive in the cold months.
"The Foster Children"..... it suggests "Village of the Damned"
"Impossible is just a big word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live in the world they've been given than to explore the power they have to change it. Impossible is not a fact. It's an opinion. Impossible is not a declaration. It's a dare. Impossible is potential. Impossible is temporary. Impossible is nothing.”
~ Muhammad Ali
Sutton and Hunter were born in Georgia and then moved to Troy, MI in suburban Detroit which is like 5 minutes from my house. They graduated from Troy high and then went off to do their stuff.

I don't remember what contract they are under, but their 2004 season includes "Smokey Joe's Cafe" and a new musical called "Wicked City" that sounds like a 40's film noir piece maybe a la "City of Angels."
Yes, "Wicked City" is a film noir type musical. Believe it or not, we actually have good theatre out here in the hinterlands. From what I know, Mason St. Warehouse at least auditons non-equity, but I think some equity poeple have been cast before (maybe they signed a waiver) In addition to "cultivating" the Foster kids, we have also produced Kate Reinders (Dainty June in Gypsy), Carly Jibson (Tracy in the Hairspray tour), and I think Marin Mazzie was in some shows at Red Barn theatre in Augusta (before she went on to stardom)... Michigan is also home to Grand Rapids Civic Theatre *woot* , the 3rd Largest community theatre in the nation. Right now, they are doing "Ragtime" and are getting raves about it.
