I always wonder about, if a playwright were to cross over into screenwriting, what filmmakers would complement their style best. For example, I always thought Yorgos Lanthimos (director of The Lobster and The Favourite) would work really well with Lucas Hnath, due to their similar styles of deadpan comedy.
