I'm glad I'll get to see him before he leaves, then (August 11th). Phew.

Congrats to Matt! I just saw Piazza last weekend, and Matt was amazing! It was truly one of the most perfect productions I ever had the pleasure of seeing onstage!

He'll be great in the role of the very slightly dimwitted brother in Greenberg's absolutely hilarious play, which I saw in its world premiere at South Coast Rep a few months ago. Excellent casting choice!

Does the "very slightly dimwitted brother" show any skin?

Hopefully I will be able to see it before then... but I doubt it.

I chose, and my world was shaken- So what?

Thank God! He'll still be there when I see it. Any clues as to who will replace him?

I think I heard something about his understudy (david burnham) taking over the role.

If David Burnham takes over, I will be one happy girl. It's horrible that Matt's leaving, because he's so wonderful in the role, but if they promote David, I know the role is in equally capable hands.
Incidentally, has anyone seen the show this weekend while David's been on? I thought his portrayal of Fabrizio was wonderful when I saw him in April--and he'd had barely any rehearsal.

Now I know why Matt is leaving Firenze but I'm still sad. I hope to be at his last performance to say goodbye to his Fabrizio then I can move on to his next role.

Oh I hope that David Burnham does take over the role! If he does, I'll have to make it a point to get to NYC to see the show - I just think he's SO talented!

I saw David as Fabrizio in April, and again this weekend...what an amazing talent!! He has a beautiful voice. His "Il Mundo Era Vuoto" and "Love To Me" were absolutely breathtaking. He was incredibly charming and endearing...the audience fell in love with him.

As much as I liked his performance in Piazza, I don't think it will hurt the show and it's good that he's getting to stretch and do some other types of roles. Now I have yet another reason to see Piazza again, to catch the replacement.
"I don't really get the ending, all i can go with is when after several months,Judith saw Pat sang, and later she kissed him on the toilet, after that the story back to where Pat went down from the stage after he'd sung, and he went to the italian lady.I just don't get it,what Judith exatcly meant when he kissed Pat that she had seen, and did Pat end up together with The Italian Lady? Please help me,thank u very much!"
Quote from someone on IMDB in reference to a movie he/she didn't understand. Such grammar!

David is not a good understudy in my opinion... I saw him on Saturday and I was disappointed.
