Amid the excitement of a return to The Producers comes sad news for Matthew. So sorry to hear about her passing. Sorry -- I'm not sure how to attach the Newsday.com or AP news article sites.

Male of female, you'll never have a better friend then your Mother. I can only imagine the hole this will put in his life.

I'm very sorry for his loss and my most sincere condolences to him and his family and friends.

That is horrible. I am so sorry for his loss...i can't even imagine what life would be without mom there. I am exhausted this morning and read that thread way too fast thinking it said matthew b dead... wow... im again very sorry.

This is heartbreaking. @ least she got to know her grandchild a little. I guess this means Matthew is a grown up now. Remebmer the love and pass it on.

I lost my dad at 58 in may to cancer and I can not even imagine!! sudden or an illness you choose not to realize is possibly terminal... I am so so sorry for him! It is tough at any age to loose one of your parents, especially at an age when they still seem invinsible. My thoughts and prayers are with him. : ( Updated On: 1/9/04 at 10:56 PM

Especially when its right around the time of returning to a show. I'm truly sorry for Matthew's loss. I wish him luck in all he does, and a quick recovery.
