um, it is old news that he is not doing the show, but it was the production team that passed on him, not the other way around.

As much as I think he is a real cutie, I didn't think he was right for Tarzan anyway. Anyway, I think his talent would be wasted on Tarzan (sorry)...hopefully he has some other projects in the works. Anyone know why he is leaving Piazza?

well, it seems that phil collins wouldnt approve of the final few tarzans that telsey and the creative team narrowed down. none of them had the 'right vocal sound that he wanted' apparently.now theyre thinking of auditioning some recording artists and a few other names. i think theyre actually seeing ppl in LA right now...

I think I just had a heart attack. On the main page, in the sidebox where it lists the 5 most recent threads, this one was listed as "Matthew Morrison has passed on..." I thought he died!

littlefish, there is an epa out for fabrizio and signor nacarelli. fabrizio's replacement will have a contract starting on august 9th, so matt will be leaving sometime after that. probably within 2 weeks.

can someone in NYC please walk on down to the stage door and just ask the boy what's going on? I really shouldn't be this concerned about someone I don't even know....but I'm ridiculously curious what he has in line that he would leave his golden role in Piazza in this fairly short run!

Perhaps Matt can at least do a photo shoot in the loincloth and barefoot, swinging around a it, showing off the muscles. That would be a nice concession.

relax people, god this is like the fourth matt topic this week. if and when theres something to report not only would it be on his website but it would be on every theatre news site around so take a deep breath, have a valium, have a drink, do something.

and trust me musicnmath, if he were ever going to be doing something stupid with his career, id be the first in line to kick his butt.

Mistress...I knew someone on this board had his ear -- and now I remember that's you. :)

You have appeared to quell the rumours and all is well with me now. I don't purport to be a fangirl, but saw his perforamance in piazza a week and a half ago and my interest in his career has raised. I trust you're keeping everything in that vein in order. I shall quietly resume my normal activities confident that you shall tell us when there's news. gracias :)
