Last night the same film, ran on the Canadian CBC network (5pm - 7pm) and on ABC (7pm-9pm.) I taped the ABC broadcast but watched the earlier show on CBC. In reviewing the tape I discovered that the US version had an extra (and NEEDLESS) scene at the top with a little girl wandering Disneyland looking for a Princess Winnifred and happening upon Carol Burnett. The Canadian telecast started with the main title sequence and skipped this bit making me wonder if it will be on the DVD. Anyone know?

Cast albums are NOT "soundtracks."
Live theatre does not use a "soundtrack." If it did, it wouldn't be live theatre!

I host a weekly one-hour radio program featuring cast album selections as well as songs by cabaret, jazz and theatre artists. The program, FRONT ROW CENTRE is heard Sundays 9 to 10 am and also Saturdays from 8 to 9 am (eastern times) on www.proudfm.com

Not to point out the obvious, but the broadcast was presented as an 'episode' of "The Wonderful World of Disney" - and there is a history and tradition (started by Walt, since the series was originally intended as a way to advertise Disneyland) of including sequences and action filmed in the park.

If you didn't like it, that's your business and right, but it certainly can't be questioned as to whether or not it belonged there.
