From the Little Women tour technical rider. I assume Maureen will be considered the star of the tour. Interesting...

LITTLE WOMEN requires (1) star dressing room. This room should be spotlessly clean and have proper heating and air conditioning and the ability to control the temperature. The dressing table mirror lights should be lamped to the maximum wattage that the circuit will hold (preferably 200 watts each). The room should have as much nice, furniture (such as a sofa and chair) as is appropriate for the size of the room and several garbage cans. The dressing room should be equipped with a small refrigerator and telephone line
If telephone lines do not exist, please DO NOT arrange for telephone installation without speaking with the Company Manager. Installation and local telephone shall be a Local Documented Expense. ‘LITTLE WOMEN’ will pay for all long distance usage. If high speed internet is available, reduction of phone lines MAY be possible.
Your point? There is nothing extravagant nor unusual here - pretty standard, in fact - if anything, I'd expect more. Try reading the rider of a REAL diva sometime.
"Try reading the rider of a REAL diva sometime."
Would that be a certain Southern diva with palindromic initials, dear?
She'd be one of many, yes...

I just think it is funny how they require these things...but I guess they have to. Trust me, I want to go on tour someday, so I just find this interesting. Maureen deserves all of this and more.
Here is some requirments for Valerie Harper and Golda's Balcony:
H. Dressing Rooms
· A dressing room is required for only one (1) performer.
· Star Dressing room shall have one 8'table, one sofa, one arm chair, four folding chairs, one full length mirror, ample lighting.
What if there is only three folding chairs?
When Kathleen Turner did THE GRADUATE in London, she had them put a kitchen in her dressing room.

These are interesting. Any more tour riders available for the reading?
MEF, why? She cooks before she performs? That's odd. And why does Maureen need a phone line? Doesn't she have a cell like everyone else?

All the other info is technical specifics.
"MEF, why? She cooks before she performs?"
I don't know why. She just said it in an interview, and it stuck in my mind. Pretty crazy, huh?
Kathleen had a pretty tiny dressing room, and I did not see a "kitchen". Maybe she had a coffeemaker and microwave and small fridge that I didn't see (or things to that effect)...but there was no built-in kitchen.
These are pretty interesting! Post more if you have them

I'll take your word on that, even though I thought she said kitchen. You would know, though. Maybe I'm mixing things up.
I think it's funny that they use "shall".
Geez, and that folding chair thing. What if there are only three? Would they sue for unimaginable amounts of money?
MEF - maybe you saw "kitchen", but it really said "chicken". O_____o?
"What if there is only three folding chairs?"
Then the grammar police come...
Think about it
Fixed. Sorry, Nard. Summer's catching up to me.

Excuse me, I had a bad day.
What if there are only three folding chairs?
OMG meffie - I didn't read your post thoroughly - I didn't see her dressing room in London. I take it all back.
