Well, that's how he referred to himself last night during his second encore - and third sold out - show at Ars Nova. Excellent show! His special guests were Adam Fleming, Dana Steers, and "Nine's" Sarah Gettelfinger, with whom he sang a duet. Until last night, I didn't realize the extent of his vocal range. Very impressive! And if he decides not to continue his Broadway dreams, he can always do stand-up 'cause he was qvery funny. He got lots of laughs - but mostly at the expense of DOTV. The audience couldn't stop laughing when he started singing "Total Eclipse of the Heart." This guy needs to put out a CD!

and a great 3 time sellout he was... I agree that a CD by Max would be a welcome project indeed!

His "Fine, Fine Line" from Avenue Q was exceptional - coupled with "Being Alive". Wow!

The DOTV material was hysterical from the opening notes of the show (which got a tremendous laught) straight through his encore of a very funny "Total Eclipse of the Heart" and a soaring (as always) "For Sarah".

"The Morning After" is a terrific comedy song about relationships.

Just a super show all around.

Worth flying in from Melbourne to see (was there for Monty - don't ask...Paul Mercurio is NO Romain Fruge - by a mile).

Apparently, people have been flying in from all over the country for Max's three performances at Ars Nova ("Until you've played Ars Nova, you haven't played the top....!" Updated On: 2/2/04 at 11:29 AM

"Total Eclipse of the Heart!" I loved it. The backup singers were a nice touch.

"There's a Fine, Fine Line" is such a beautiful song. I really wish he'd do a CD sometime soon.
What was the Supermodel wearing?
