His "Fine, Fine Line" from Avenue Q was exceptional - coupled with "Being Alive". Wow!
The DOTV material was hysterical from the opening notes of the show (which got a tremendous laught) straight through his encore of a very funny "Total Eclipse of the Heart" and a soaring (as always) "For Sarah".
"The Morning After" is a terrific comedy song about relationships.
Just a super show all around.
Worth flying in from Melbourne to see (was there for Monty - don't ask...Paul Mercurio is NO Romain Fruge - by a mile).
Apparently, people have been flying in from all over the country for Max's three performances at Ars Nova ("Until you've played Ars Nova, you haven't played the top....!"
