Just fyi, Max is featured in the Canon Camera ad on the NYT home page. It's on the right. I think I saw him in a commercial recently too. Yay Max!

Who would want to take pictures of Max von Essen?

On The Tudors, the guy playing the king of France in the second episode looked eerily similar to Max.

Why's everyone hate him so much? (FYI, I'm not a fan either. I don't think his voice is great, nor is his acting all that great. I saw his "Proud Lady" on the voldermort site and his heavy breathing was VERY distracting. Learn how to breathe and sing.)

OMG! I swear those are Scott Nevins' eyebrows!!

I couldn't STAND him in "Dance Of The Vampires", he was probably worse than Crawford. That's all I know about him.

Exactly. A few weeks back someone had posted a very nasty thread on Max. Why? What's the point? How childish and immature.

The same reason people post pictures of their body parts to Rent message boards?

GClef2 that's because Max IS rude. I know people that have done shows with him that have run into him later post show closing and he acts like he has never met them before. Updated On: 4/6/07 at 04:33 PM

I've had the pleasure of meeting Max once and he was very, very nice.

And, in the issue of fairness to the person who posted that Max didn't say HI to a person that he did a show with....I've done a lot of musical theatre...and, have worked with a lot of people throughout the years. I can't tell you how many times, I'll be at an audition, or I'll see someone, and say to myself, "How do I know that person? What show did I do with them?" And, then your brain goes into a tailspin on trying to figure out how you know that person, when you see them out of context.

It's that sort of....damned if you do and damned if you don't position. Do you not say anything because you can't remember their name, or do you ask them their name, and run the risk of sticking your foot in your mouth.

That's happened to me many, many times. That doesn't make me a bad person because I didn't say hello to them.

nealb1 has a valid point. I can barely remember the names of people I worked with last summer, he may just be bad at names.

Personally, if Max von Essen said hello to me, I would probably die...or drool...or something equally embarassing.
