I realize May is a month when Broadway is on the brain, but there are at least a dozen shows opening this month (everywhere but Broadway), and some are exciting -- such as the CSC revival of Sondheim's Pacific Overtures with George Takei.
Others that intrigue: Enda Walsh's Arlington, Robert Schenkkan's Building the Wall, Hamish Linklater's The Whirligig.
Actually, 1984 is starting previews on May 18, but it doesn't open until June 22. Opening night is defined these days as the night when professional reviews of the production can be published/posted/aired.
