If you saw it, could someone explain WTF was going on ? I have no idea what was going on
The saving grace was Brian Murray. His timing was impeccable & he wrang out every last laugh out of his part. Ashley was credible but who the hell cares about OTTO & otto & less about the girl & the man.
It is hard to believe Edward Albee wrote this.

It was a bit of absurdist self-indulgence on Albee's part with lots of plays on words, etc. He's had that tendency in recent years.
As far as the play is concerned, I agree with you. I thought it was quite a bore, especially the scenes with the two teens.
The performances of the two stars made it (somewhat) bearable and worthwhile.

In fairness to the supporting cast, their parts were not well written .There was nothing to sink their teeth into especially for The Girl & The Man.
Possibly different leads for the twins might have helped but they were as bland as flowered wallpaper. Murray was the best thing about it.
I think the entire budget for the show went for the ending as the sets were almost non existent

I don't believe you were reading this into it. I felt the same way.
