While at the stage door of Legally Blonde, I overheard two people dicussing how they had callbacks for the roles of Janis and Damian in the upcoming Broadway production of 'Mean Girls'.
Does anyone know whats going on with this?

It's all rumors.

Remember that it IS Tina Fey's material so we'd probably hear it, from her, if there's a musical.

I feel like they may have been kidding. That's the kind of thing if someone talks loud enough they want people to hear. But there hasn't even been a press release for a creative team, so it's odd they would start audtioning anyone. Also, I'm sure the AEA audition notice would be out.
So, all rumors/ lies.
I would hope Tina is involved, but the women is so busy right now.
