I experienced this amazing off-off Broadway show last night. One word- WOW!. The choreography that is accomplished in a small space is original and very daring. The big useless B'dway shows should take some lessons here. The star Alex Perez is a nonstop dynamo. He sings, dances gives comedic and dramatic monolgue and changes costumes 8 times while basically never stopping for almost 2 hrs! He has captured the essence of the 80's to a T. All those TV shows, Videos, clothes and music all the stuff we always refer to as "What was I thinking?" have been resurrected with homage, humor and true love. I say love because it shines through in the actorsand dancers heartfelt performances of this polyesthered, lame-ed and crimped hair era.
You will laugh, cry, clap , and dance. Well if you don't dance you'll be tapping your feet all night. Give yourself a treat and go experience this amazing night out.

I went to see this show again this past thursday...all I can say is WOW!. It is true what they say about theatre. Every performance is diffrent in some way. I didn't think Media Killed The Video Star could be better than the last time but...it was even better. The star Alex Perez dances and sings for 2 hours and just blows you away! Word of mouth has been so good that I almost couldn't get in Thursday.
The show has been extended right now until August 18. If you liked Taboo,Rent,Avenue Q....you will love this show!
