With the Spring New York Theatre season at an end, some producers will be drinking champagne by the Balthazar, certainly for the producers of 'Everyday Rupture', 'American Idiot', 'Come Fly Away' and 'La Cage Aux Folles'.
Some theatre investors such as people who put money in 'Addams Family', 'Sondheim on Sondheim', 'Promises Promises' and 'Love Never Dies', have had a early night with a cup of cocoa.
But can champagne taste very flat, do theatre reviews really matter anymore? Especially by the once mighty New York Times, do not have the same punch as they once did and could make or break a show?
The shows that have had good reviews this season have all appeared at the booth at some stage this week.
