i'm sure people have encountered medical emergencies during shows..
what were they and how did the staff handle it?
when i was seeing phantom the woman in the 2nd row, 2 rows in front of me had some sort of panic attack during the pyrotecnics. It was handled beautifully and did not interrupt the show, but I wonder if any shows have warnings for things like that??

I think all shows that have strobes have warnings as they can trigger epilyptic seizures.
I have seen many medical emergencies. One of the saddest was at The Producers, on Valentine's Day, when a man who had brought his wife to the show suffered a fatal heart attack (stroke?) in the balcony. The show was stopped for about 15 minutes while the paramedics tried to bring him back.
The show Angels in America had frequent medical emergencies. Due to its subject matter, it attracted many theatre-goers who were often in the final stages of AIDS. Unfortunately, some of them died there, and many, many more had to leave the performance prematurely as a result of illness.
