Meeting Stephen Schwartz tomorrow!

So the theatre i'm working at is premiering a new Schwartz musical called Snapshots and he's in town for opening night! I think if I sing Popular, he will lyk TOTALLY cast me in Wicked!! Omgz! i'm way excited =)

Ask him for recordings of the early Wicked workshops and the full recording of him singing through the score for Holzmann and Platt and the demo of "enchanting" and if he has a recording of the first san fran preview ask for that.

the show itself sounds wonderful. reading the plot and looking at the song list -- it seems to work wonderfully

He is a nice guy ! I met him in person and I have a picture with him back in 1998--
They did a Stephen Schwartz concert in Hartford Connecticut ( I forgot the name of the college- and there was a talk after the concert tribute) He even autographed my
Stephen Schwartz CD- The Reluctant Pilgrim- I can't believe I admit to that owning that CD !

Ask him if he can smuggle me on the Composers Cruise in Oct. I'm longing to sit on a deck chair next to Leslie Bricusse and pick his brain.

Actually, I met Stephen when Wicked was "a concept he hoped would work". He's a really nice guy.

Suellen, you will wake up with those ears tomorrow and if you don't stop...those eyes too! lol!

Despite the fact that Wicked makes me cringe slightly, he is a very nice guy. Have a nice meeting!

Hi Guys ----

Guess what I found ? My Stephen Schwartz autograph on his CD booklet page. I am still looking for my pic with him. Back then - In 1998 - I have no digital camera and I guess I used one of those camera with negatives- somehow. its around here and I cannot find it.. funny story -when I met him. I met him in Hartford at that Stephen Schwartz Concert Tribute- where I got his autograph and of course a picture with him.. The day before- Oct 23, 1998- I met him too- at North Shore Theater Production of "Children Of Eden" and when I talked to him the next day in CT to get his signature & pic with him.. He joked and said to me .."Are you following me? "

He is such a nice guy -and yes ! sing to him - He'll like that- I sang him...

BTW- The only time I would ask for someone's autograph is a Broadway Composer or a lyricist... I still have to get one more autograph for my collections and that's Stephen Sondheim... I still have to meet the legend
