According to this week's Newsweek interview, Mel Brooks has stated that he has no money invested in YF. (he quoted the Producers "never put your own money in a show".)
I find this very difficult to believe....

Not me. Who wouldn't want to invest in YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN, the follow-up to THE PRODUCERS, the record-breaking Tony Winner that ran for six years?

Posted: 11/6/07 at 8:01pmHe may have no money invested but I am sure he is getting a nice sum in royalties and part of the Box Office! Why would he invest his own money in it when I am sure there are people literally throwing money at him to get a piece of the action.

This a real case of greed I think. But hey, he has the power. It's more like, I wont put a dime in it but sure hell you are going to give me more money for it.
