Hello. A couple of days ago, on my way to work, I listened to Seth's show on Sirius XM on Broadway radio channel, with Betty Buckley as the guest. It originally aired in Feb. 2010. Anyhoo, Seth mentioned that Betty Buckley was the first person to perform "Meadowlark", before Carol Demas and Patti LuPone. Betty auditioned (9 times) for the role of Genevieve in the Baker's Wife. Betty was understandably crushed that she didn't get the part. The role went to Carol Demas and ultimately to Patti. Of course, it became of one Patti's concert songs. Betty then began to use "Meadowlark" in concerts. At some point, Patti communicated to Betty her consternation at Betty's use of "Meadowlark." As told by Betty, Patti apparently said: "How would you like it if I sang "Memory" (Betty's signature song)? When I heard that, I just laughed out loud. I thought that was so funny. Anyway, would anyone care to share some memorable moments from Seth's show, whether you saw it in person or heard it on the radio. from RC in Austin, Texas

"Noel [Coward] and I were in Paris once. Adjoining rooms, of course. One night, I felt mischievous, so I knocked on Noel's door, and he asked, 'Who is it?' I lowered my voice and said 'Hotel detective. Have you got a gentleman in your room?' He answered, 'Just a minute, I'll ask him.'" (Beatrice Lillie)
