I'm confused about the distinction between "F Mezz" and "Mezz" when looking at various ticket broker listings for Spamalot at the Shubert.
I see some listings with Section="F Mezz", and Row=D, E, and F. However I also see "Mezz" tickets listed for Row C. If row C is in front of the other rows, how come that listing isn't considering "F Mezz"? Does this mean anything at all, or is it just because sometimes data is entered inconsistently.
Also, one additional question: If a ticket is listed as "aisle", that means the aisle toward the center of the theater, right? Not the ones all the way at the ends? I don't want to specifically buy aisle tickets and then get the worst possible view, heh.
F Mezz vs. Mezz is probably just the way different brokers list things---row C is in fron to d, e and f. As for aisle, ask for the seat number---you can go online and look up the seating chart for pretty much any theater.
For the love of all that is holy grail, please dont buy from a broker. If you want to pay regular ticket price for Spamalot ($101.25) go to the cancellation line. They sell all the house seats every night so people end up with 5th row centre orchestra. Its awesome. Also if you really are on a budget do standing room. That goes on sale the day of the show at 10am. Great view and onle $21.25.
For standing room, you typically have to get there a bit early...at least for the next few weeks!

Thanks for the response, that's what I thought. Don't think that seat number info is available online though. Guess I'll just have to risk it.

Thanks for the tip, but there's a specific date I want to go (Dec. eigtheenth), and I have no interest in traveling to NY beforehand anyway :)

Front Mezz v. Rear Mezz v. Mezz:
It is a legal definition and the Shuberts hew very closely to this. If a ticket is labelled "Front Mezzanine", it means that the first X number of rows is physically separated by an aisle or walkway across the mezz. "Rear Mezzanine" means the seats are located behind this cross aisle. For example the Majestic, Broadway and Imperial all have Front and Rear Mezzanines. Got that?
If the ticket is labelled "Mezzanine" it means there is no crosswalk and the rows are continuous from the front row of the mezz back to the last row. The Shubert, St. James (not a Shubert house) and the Booth are examples.
Brokers can tell you just about what they want, but ask them what the ticket says--whether it is FMezz, RMezz or plain old Mezz.
The person who poisted to avoid brokers has the best idea.
