I know that Michael Arden was Tom Sawyer in Big River on Broadway -- did anyone see him?
Also, if you look at the Tony Award site and watch the Big River Clip, is that Michael Arden in the one scene? If you watch the clip where the person in the red pajamas runs onstage with a few other guys, there's the guy all the way to the right in the group that looks like Michael Arden, but I can't tell.

LOL, another Michael Arden fan! This young man's career is going to be big, and it's really nice to have "discovered" him so early.
Anyway, I didn't see him in Big River (I really regret not having seen Big River, since it looks awe-inspiring and wonderful, but I wasn't in NYC at the time), but I know he received great reviews, as did the entire show. If you go to broadway.com and look under their video multimedia (the opening of Big River), during the clip there's a short interview with him, as well as a tiny snippet of his performance as Tom Sawyer.

Posted: 6/1/04 at 10:01pmI just walked past the theatre in San Francisco today where "Big River" was loading in. I'm very happy I'll get another chance to see it. I saw it in LA and again in previews in NYC. It's such a beautiful production. Everyone should see it.
