I really hope to see him on this production again but he's too old for Marius, though.
Wish you get rich of Fosco's flu soon, Michael!

I'd like to see new people.
But wouldn't be upset if Ball played Valjean!
I love Les Mis threads!

Harvey Fierstein as Mme. Thernadier would be funny.

Why not cast him as Adult Cosette?
I would love to hear his last note in A HEART FULL OF LOVE.

Michael Ball as Valjean on Broadway ?!!
Absolutely!!
He has sang the part for The Queen and President Jacques Chirac in the special concert edition at WINDSOR CASTLE. He is also one of the major cast members from the original Royal Shakespeare Company/Mackintosh production at the Barbican in 1995.
On Broadway or at the 21st Les Mis Anniversary celebration in London (Mackintosh announced a Hyde Park concert earlier) - Michael will be a perfect Valjean!!

I would love Michael to be Valjean maybe I could see him then (he was sick when i was at WiW)
how about Aaron Lazar for Marius and I would be interested in Michael Cerveris playing Javert

Michael Cerveris as Javert would be brilliant, but will he be through with Sweeney at that point?
I wonder if the actors from LES MIS will be eligible for Tony's, especially if it will be their first time performing the roles.
The dream cast WAS fantastic, but that was over 10 years ago wasn't it? They're all too old for those roles by now - atleast most of them.

Posted: 2/17/06 at 2:12amBasically, only members of the OBC of the show would be ineligible to be nominated for the Tony for this revival, if they were once again cast in their original roles (they, however, would be eligible for playing different roles on the show). You can only be disqualified if you were previously eligible for playing the same role in a previous production (even if you, if fact did NOT receive a nomination the first time around). Since there has only been one previous production and the only people eligible for Tonys were members of the original cast (replacements in shows are only this year eligible to be nominated), unless one or more of them are being brought back to reprise their original roles, the enire cast should be Tony eligible (this rule was created so that the Yul Brynners and Carol Channings of the world who kept coming back time and time again in the same roles couldn't continually be nominated).

I doubt any of the original cast would come back.
I mean, of the leads, Jennifer Butt is still playing Mmme. Thenardier on the tour and Terrence Mann, is still performing, and played Javert 3 years ago.
Mann wouldn't be eligible for a Tony this time around. I'm not sure about Butt, not that Mme. Thenardier would receive an award anyway.
As much as I love the old casts, it would be great to see some new people.
