Michael Crawford will be opening the 2006-2007 season at the Cerritos Performing Arts Center on Saturday, August 19, 2006 at 8 p.m. Tickets go on sale early May. I'm so excited!!!!
The entire season was announced today (4/2/06) in our local paper The Orange County Register with a photo of Michael. I also previously knowledge of this concert thru my assoc. with MCIFA.com
"Yeah, I heard about the Schubert theater performance. I think it was the performance closest to where I live, it sounds great"
It's an expensive concert, and the available tickets are limited---Most of the main floor is reserved for "bigwigs" of one kind or another (part of the celebration of the re-opening of the theater). The cheapest tickets are $72 and are in the balcony. I just ran a check on Ticketmaster, and for $72 I could get Left Center Balcony, row N.
Now, if I had $247.50 burning a hole in my pocket, I could get row E, Left Orchestra or row P center Orchestra--- but as it happens, two friends and I will be sitting in the Mezzanine for something between the highest and lowest prices.
I live close enough to drive or take the train into the City so it is still cheaper than flying somewhere for a concert or a show and staying in a pricy hotel.
Is there ANY chance he will be performing any closer to the midwest area, mainly Oklahoma? Probably not, but asking can't hurt, can it?
As someone told me lately: "Ev'ryone deserves the chance to fly!"...
He's there, the Phantom of the Opera!...
I dreamed a dream in time gone bye...
This is the moment! My final test!...
PS. Couldn't choose just one :-)
Who knows if he will have other concerts in the Midwest or elsewhere. The Chicago concert wasn't announced until last Friday, and even his fan club was caught by surprise---his management is supposed to let them know.
I hope that he does have more concerts so that you and others who would like to see them can do it, but I don't know.
