Sorry everyone, but I'm really excited. I wrote to Michelle last Sat. telling her I thought she was great in Wicked and I asked her for a signed photo, and today, I got me SASE back in the mail!! SHe sent me a pic of her as Nessa with a note on the back thanking me for my letter and telling me ( because I had asked ) that she will be in Wicked until July. Yay!!! My mom brought in the mail, and was like, "You got something from W 51st street, and I was like, Oh my g-d, are you kidding?!! It was really nice of her to respond so quickly. Sorry, but I just had to share, and let anyone who wanted to know that you have until July to see her.

Awesome. It is really cool of her that she responds so fast. I think she responded back to me in about a week as well. She is such a great performer. re: Michelle Federer wrote me back!

Yeah I had a phase not too long ago where I wrote a lot. I wrote all the Wicked principles. I got sweet responces from Idina Menzel, Kristin Chenoweth, Joel Grey, Carole Shelley, Michelle Federer, Norbert Leo Butz, Christopher Fitzgerald, and William Youmans. Actually, the only one not to respond was Manuel Herrera.

Joel Grey??? Wow, that's awesome! I have to say, one of the highlights of my life was seeing him perform on stage. Me, and the lovely couple sitting beside me went berzerk when he walked out on stage. That is really nifty that he wrote you back.

I wrote Idina a couple of months ago for my girlfriend, but havent got anything back yet. Oh well.

LucyThropp- I included a large SASE (9x12 or something). That was the advice given to my by others on this board. The picture I got back was a 5x7 though, so I could have included a smaller one.

She was really nice at the stage door when I saw Wicked. I have pictures but I can't post them because 1) I have no scanner and 2) I have no idea how to do it even if I did have a scanner.

Too Kind, Yeh I Wrote To Kristin, Idina, and Michelle And they All Wrote Back With Autographs, And I never sent a SASE. And Kristin And Idina Sent Theres Together! Kristins Writing On The Envalope Is Too cute, Pink Sparkley Pen! Too Kristin!

I worked with Michelle in the mid '90s and she was so frigging hilarious - she is the best story teller and mimic...and has a great voice. I'm so glad she finally got her shot on Broadway.
"I don't really get the ending,all i can go with is when after several months,Judith saw Pat sang,and later she kissed him on the toilet,after that the story back to where Pat went down from the stage after he'd sung,and he went to the italian lady.I just don't get it,what Judith exatcly meant when he kissed Pat that she had seen,and did Pat end up together with The Italian Lady?Please help me,thank u very much!" I wrote to Sutton Foster and the cast of TMM. I included a SASE (because that is what her website suggested) I not only recieved a sighed photo from sutton, but a signed playbill by most of the cast including gavin, marc, angie, and harriet. She also scored a pic of gav for me. You never know what you are going to get with these guys. They were so awesome to do that for me.
<< Gavin Creel and Kate Baldwin making vocal love... I adore these two.

Me too! Did you guys all write to them c/o the theatre? I LOVE Michelle- you're right, she deserves a lot more credit! I can't wait to write some letters now :) So you think it's best to send your own envelope?

How do you send a SASE of a larger size (that would fit a 9x12 per say) to someone? Do you send your actual fan letter asking for the autograph in a big envelope as well?
And if she'll say, "My darling, I'm yours!" I'll throw away my striped tie and my best pressed tweed, all I really need is the girl...
