re: Millie Vs. Millie

I liked the stage version better. I saw the movie when I was a teenager...maybe I should re-watch it.

Ooh, I love both! They are SO different. I am directing it this summer.

re: Millie Vs. Millie

I like parts of each. The opening of the movie is very cute. The facial expressions Julie Andrews makes during the title song (and throughout the film, like when she meets her boss) are great. I like the use of title cards to convey Millie's thoughts.

What I didn't care for was much of the script, and I thought it was handled better in the musical.

I never saw Sutton Foster (I saw Darcie Roberts on the tour). Julie wins.

re: Millie Vs. Millie

I started watching the movie a long time ago but never finished.

That said, I can't really say which one is better than the other, but the stage version was my first Broadway show and will always hold a special place in my heart. I became a huge Sutton fan because of that show. I wish I could've seen it again back in the day.
