We saw it last night & we were blown away

The book is minimal & tells you just enough to know the background. The real stars are the performers & they are awesome. Robert Britton Lyons is fine as Carl Perkins . Lance Guest looks & sounds like Cash. Eddie Clendening looks eerily like Elvis & sounds exactly like him. The real star is Levi Kreis as Jerry Lee Lewis. He is like a wild man on the piano & basically toys with the audience & acts like a teenager whose parents left him alone at home on the weekend & he has a party. Elizabeth Stanley plays Elvis girlfriend at the time & she is fine.

The show itself runs 1:30 but stick around after the lights go out. After it ends there is about a 15 minute mini concert with each star singing one song with them all joining in. The finale is as follows:

Hound Dog - Elvis
Riders In The Sky - Cash
See You Later Alligator - Perkins
Whole Lot Of Shakin Goin' On - Lewis

The mini concert is alone worth the price. As one reviewer stated "The Show Kicks Ass" . I concur. See it for one of the most entertaining nights in the theater in quite awhile, I can definitely see this in Vegas where it would be great

I knew you would be so that is why I posted it. I assumed since this was a Broadway Board, people would want to hear about Broadway shows. Kind of fits in, wouldn't you say?

Always willing to be of service. Have a nice day.

I suppose I should try this show. I've had such little interest in it and haven't heard much buzz about it.

I'm just waiting for Victoria Matlock to have a planned performance so I can watch the show.

How can you bash Spiderman, which at least will feature an original score and original staging, and then claim to say this is one of the most entertaining nights in theatre? This show is simply a concert with no dramatic structure. Saying this show has a minimal book is being generous. Your last statement about this fitting in Vegas could not be more accurate.

Sounds like a lot of fun to me; am going in NYC next Saturday for Bloody, Bloody and will try to make this my sedond show.
