She was only 38.

Some of you may remember her name if you have the Japanese cast recording of Miss Saigon; she was the original Kim in Tokyo. (And also played Eponine in Les Miz.)

I didn't know till I read this topic...
I had been heard she is getting better so it's hard to believe.

I used to listen to her music when I was turning Japanese in the 80s. She was a huge pop star. It's so sad that her life was so short!
