Minskoff Stage Door?

Where is it? In the Breezeway? at the back of the building? since the theatre isnt ground level and practically takes up the whole width of the block.

It is in the tunnel opposite the main house doors.

On the first New Year's Eve after the Minskoff opened, it occurred to me that the lobby there overlooked the crowd on Times Square and that surely there must be a party going on. So I persuaded a friend that we should put on dinner jackets and knock on the stage door around 11pm, which we did. And sure enough...

it is the oppositte of the main doors you go into the theatre and out.

Yankee is correct, once you exit the theatre go towards the right and they usually have a rope line thing there so that the cast can get out without being trampled by everyone leaving. It's basically across from the area where you get your tickets from.

Actually, the party was given by Pierre Cardin. I have no idea where the lady in the alice blue gown was at midnight.

Thanks, was thinking of bugging a few of lion king's cast for autographs, but being that i probably will be the only one, im not sure i will, dont want to come accross as a stalker, lol.

lol It's ok a few day s before I saw the show I just stood across from the stage door to see them come out. I was also checking to see the board for understudies. I'd be considered the stalker. lol

Anyway, a lot of the ensemble come out fast after the show and then the rest can usually take over a half hour to leave. Patrick Page actually came out way faster then I remember him. Danny R. takes his time to leave so he'll be out a bit later. If you just go up to them and ask for autographs they are nice or else they just run off.

I just remember stage dooring the Toronto show and was the only person there. Some of the cast were flattered and quite happy about signing, most though looked rather bewildered, but signed anyway. They wernt used to anything like that.

i got a few cast members autographs and photos. they were nice and friendly. i was calm but others were totally out of control. kissy simmons and a couple others sneak out right after the show. the young nala n simba are very kewl.
