Anyone know where I can get a recording of MISS SAIGON in its original language? The original LES MISERABLES is available as a French concept album, so I thought SAIGON might be too. The English translation is woeful but the music is lovely, so I'd enjoy it more hearing it in French.

English is its original language.

According to the Oxford Companion to the American Musical:

"Richard Maltby has had Broadway success with AIN'T MISBEHAVIN' (197

, which he conceived, directed, and wrote some lyrics, and MISS SAIGON (1991), for which he adapted the French lyrics."

So, unless you can prove to me otherwise, I'll ask again if anyone knows where I can get an original French recording.

I don't believe it was ever recorded or performed in French. In many ways, English is it's original language.
