Miss Saigon questions

Ive just seen MIss Saigon in cinema and having never saw it before so I've some questions Ive been wondering.

Why were Vietnam's thoughts of the portraits of Ho Chi Minh and Viet Cong in the musical?

And where did Claude-Michel and Alain get the ' Dju Vui Vai' phrase, it's not even Vietnamese. And "Bui Doi" is not the right word for those childrens, it "Mo Coi", did they even try to use some correct Vietnamese language and culture (the wedding ceremony is all wrong) in the show???

Not really. Find the Mark Steyn book where the creative team discusses talking to Vietnamese waitresses and deciding what THEY thought would sound best with the music.
