I just played Ishmael last fall (hence avatar; video of I Live and Breathe on Myspace ^_^). My school's drama program is pretty conservative and we did it and did it really well. its not completely racy. a few of the things you guys are talking about i don't even understand... like the thing about the pregnant girl... thats not even in the show (at least the one i did, the one off MTI).
but its a great show for schools. the script/plot is lacking though so i doubt anything professional is gonna come anytime soon (no pun intended ^_^)

Posted: 9/19/06 at 6:21pmI know of a community theater group who rejected it because it was too "objectionable". I had no idea it was anything other than a show based directly on the book. I knew the book had been challenged in some schools, so I figured it had to do with that.
