Modern Orthodox - a brief review

Saw M.O.preview Saturday Matinee........How many times have you seen a relatively unknown character actor "steal" a play or a movie from the cast heavyweights? Such is the case with this comedy about the conflicts between observant and non-observant Jews. Jason Biggs, Molly Ringwald, and Craig Bierko do their best to force relevancy and humor into this; and it often falls flat in the early going. .......Until Jenn Harris injects super-charged chicken soup into this struggling piece as an over-sexed Orthodox blind date....If they can cut 15 minutes out of the second and third scene struggles of "Modern Orthodox" it could be a more engaging presentation.
