I'm preparing an evening of song with the best MALE songs in the last 10-15 years. I'm looking for character songs, not so much generic Webber stuff. Any suggestions would be mucho helpful.

My first reaction to this was going to be some great Lloyd Webber stuff, but I'll only leave one becuase I truly think its a great song, it just didn't get the press at all.

"Evermore without You" - The Woman in White (Lloyd Webber)

I know this is old now, probably almost 20 years but it too never really got any respect...

"Anthem" from Chess

And I would defantely include:

"This is the Moment" from Jekyll & Hyde

and what about "If I Can't Love Her" from Beauty and the Beast (also older), even though Tim Rice did say it was corny (he was the writer!) I think its a rather great song!

Hopefully this helped!

Il Mundo Era Vuoto - Light in the Piazza
Shiksa Goddess/Moving Too Fast - Last Five Years
This Is Not Over Yet - Parade
King of the World - Songs for a New World
Goodbye - I Love You Because
Desert Island - High Fidelity
Why - tick tick BOOM!
Louder than Words - tick tick BOOM!

Most of the great songs from the last 15 years seem to be either 1) written for a woman, 2) in a revival or 3) unproduced.
