"I cant stand the movie because of that ending."
I can't stand that movie period.
The scene in Ragtime where the fireman tease and insult Coalhouse and then proceed to destroy his car and when Sarah is beaten to death
Also, in Ragtime, when Coalhouse surrenders and puts all his trust in Father and he walks out and they kill him!!!! That moment right there just gets me so upset!
The trashing of the wedding in Fiddler
- no matter how much I didn't like this current revival, this scene always hits the hardest because you just 'feel' for these people.
In Rent, when Mimi comes to say goodbye to Roger, and Maureen and Joanne interrupt and start fighting (""Who says that you should stick your nose in other people's business- Who said he was talking to you? We used to have this fight each night..."). I just feel that they steal that scene away from Mimi and Roger and bring themselves into it and very loudly. It bugs me every time I see the show.
I just saw a local production of Grease, and I had forgotten that in the play Danny quits the track team before the end of the year. So..Sandy transforms herself into "slutty" Sandy, and Danny goes back to exactly the way he was. I always laughed that people thought this was a great show for kids...look at what it's teaching them..."Be a ho..get a man!"
"Be a ho..get a man!"
But isn't that what American culture is all about!?
(The Miss Education of Jenna Bush, anyone?)
