Since Alvin and Rex may have run out of Seinfeld Bway trivia (I think there were only two episodes) let's try some other shows;

What Broadway songstress lent her vioce to a Saturday morning cartoon cat named Rita. What show was Rita featured on?

Oh too easy. Bernadette Peters as Rita the Cat on Animaniacs. I love those Rita and Runt cartoons. Any time a cat can have a Brooklyn accent with an attitude and then sing with the voice of Bernadette Peters, I will always tune in. And lots of Sondheim references.

Ok, here's another that shouldn't be hard at all. On the old Love Boat series, what 3 Broadway legends guest starred as the mothers of the crew members, Issac, Gopher and Doc

Ann Miller, Carol Channing and Ethel Merman though I'm quite certain only Ethel Merman was Gopher's mother. Ann Miller was in some way related to Doc and I think Carol Channing was Julie aunt. Okay, I'm scaring myself now.

And by the way, I am not at all a cartoon fan - only a Broadway fan.

try this: what former West End feature (ME & MY GAL) before becoming an Oscar caliber movie talent, played the singing former wife of Frasier Crane on CHEERS, only to be left out of the rating stunt "former wife reunion" on FRASIER?

Will: They don't give out awards for helping people be gay... unless you count the Tonys. "I guarantee that we'll have tough times. I guarantee that at some point one or both of us will want to get out. But I also guarantee that if I don't ask you to be mine, I'll regret it for the rest of my life..."

I'm not as sure about this one but wasn't it Emma Thompson who played Frasier's first wife. I've heard from several sources that Bernadette Peters was who they originally wanted.

You're right moljul and I screwed that up. Ethel played Gopher's mother, Pearl Bailey played Issac's mother, Ann Miller was Julie's aunt and Carol Channing was Doc's former mother in-law

Oh, I completely forgot about Pearl Bailey. But I think Ann Miller was a relative of Doc's, not Carol Channing. Yes, I am a child of the 70s and I'm currently seeking a 12 step program that will help me with this.

lol you 2 are scaring me. Luckily, I was still pretty young (I believe I was 10 or 11 years old) when Anamainiacs came out, and I remember being completely obsessed with Rita and Runt, and didn't even realize it was Bernadette until a few years later.

Here's some more trivia:
Bernadette did the voice of another cartoon animal in 2000 opposite Nathan Lane. What show was it, and what animal did Bernadette do the voice for? Hint *It was only one episode. I only stumbled upon it by accident one evening.

one of Frasier's first wives (his chronology has been muddled somewhat) was indeed Emma Thompson. Good for you, Moljul. BP would have been great in that role, but Emma did very well too. They hardly ever run that episode in syndication. NOW...name some CHEERS episodes where Bebe gets to use her musical theatre skills. Hint: one is a duet with Kelsey.

Okay, stop. I can't let a trivia question go unanswered so stop tempting me.

Unfortunately I never discovered Animaniacs until about 2 years ago as I am much too old to have watched them as a kid. Heck, I watched the original first run episodes of Laughalympics and Superfriends as a kid.

Frasier and Lillith sang "Our House" at the piano and I remember them singing something once with a kareoke (sp?) machine.

And speaking of Cheers, does everyone remember that on one episode Donna McKechnie played Sam's wife?

i forgot about Donna, but Bebe also really belts a solo number on one episode, and she also plays the spoons. Who can recall the circumstance? and Moljul wins again for the "Our House" at the piano, which was hilarious! I don't recall a scarey-offkey episode however.

May not be this episode, but I remember Lillith (Bebe) trying to seduce Sam by doing a seductive dance and strip-tease. Did she sing in that episode?

And who can forget Ethel Merman on "Batman & Robin" She fit right in with its campy style.

OMG! HOW did I miss this thread? I'm a Cheers FREAK! I literally have every single episode Bebe has ever been on on tape.

Bebe and Kelsey sing "Our House" on the episode Dinner at Eight-ish (LOVE that ep).

Bebe belts out some good stuff on the karaoke machine in Wedding Bell Blues.

Sings "Funny Valentine" in The Cranemakers (my FAVORITE episode along with I Kid You Not).

In Mr. Otis Regrets she sings "Sonny Boy" to baby Frederick.

Bidding on the Boys is the episode in which Lilith tries seducing Sam, and no, she does not sing in that episode. It's a cute one, though.

Yeah, I grew up on Cheers. My baby kitty's name is Lilith... I need help, I do. :) She's a cute kitty, she is! My little neighbor thinks she looks like Bebe, too!

OHHHH... Lilith also comes into the kitchen for a split second and sings in An Old Fashioned Wedding. That's when she grabs the spoons and goes back out into the other room to finish her little show!

I was realy young when Cheers came out, so I've seen most episodes through repeats. I wasn't a huge Bebe fan until a few years ago. If you could get all of Bebe's episodes onto DVD, I would pay you for it.

My tapes are scattered all over. AND I don't know how to transfer them to DVD? Hmmm...

I was very young when Cheers came out, too. I wasn't even born when it first aired, but I started watching during the end of the series, which was mainly the Lilith/Frasier years. I continued watching reruns and such as I got older, only sparking my initial Frith (the term I coined for them, thank you very much) obsession. :) This is why I was ecstatic to see Bebe in Chicago in 1996... plus, I had danced to Chita's version of "All That Jazz" in my dance class prior to seeing it, so I was doubly excited to see Bebe and the show. :)

What did you think of the movie "Tadpole?" I thought she was so awesome in that! I've yet to see her new off Broadway show

I saw Tadpole the day of its release in NYC and I was living in Boston at the time! Now, I live in NYC and I haven't even seen Writer's Block yet... is that NOT sad? I'm kind of not looking forward to seeing WB because I've heard bad things about it. Can't shatter my Bebe image!!!

I also think Kelsey needs to get his butt back into theatre, as much as I love "Frasier." He's too talented not to return. :)

The poor man has been typecasted. I hope he will be able to shed the Frasier image (while not letting us completely forget). :) He has such a great speaking voice....I would love to see him in a play...with Bebe, but that's pushing it. LOL
