1) Christiane Noll. The girl is not just a pretty voice. Why she isn't on Broadway all the time is a mystery to me.
2) Anthony Warlow. Best Baritenor voice out there, and a damn fine actor. Wish he would come to the States.
3) Brian D'arcy James. This Man should be starring and have his own show. Marisa Jaret has a tony and he doesn't, "You dont know this man".
yup, anthony warlow. The versatility of the man is AMAZING. I saw him last week in Opera Australia's doublebilling of HMS Pinafore and Trial by Jury, in which he played Captain Corcoran and the Judge. You wouldn't have known it was the same performer playing the two roles. He was the most convincing dirty old man ever. And completely HILARIOUS, as well as possessing an eargasmic voice as the captain (thanks to whoever on this board coined that term).

Matt McGrath. He needs to get another show or workshop in NY before I go through withdrawal. Absolutely deserving of leading man roles.

I love Anthony Warlow, I agree. If I could, I would write a show just for him and have him come to NY to do it.
anthony warlow is without doubt a world class performer
world class!!
i happen to know that he was recently offered the lead in cyrano, but turned it down for family reasons.
apparently he gets regular offers for overseas work, i wish he'd travel.
he is truly brilliant. have you heard the rendition of lily's eyes on one of his albums in which he sings both parts thanks to pre-recording? awesome stuff
I personally think that Linzi Hateley, Rosemary Ashe and Claire Moore are VEYR underated! I think ALL three have TOTALY AMAZING voices!!!!!!! Claire... Miss Saigon, JCS, Phantom... AMAZING!!!! and Linzi... what can I say? Rosie's saprano voice is just pure phenomenal IMO !

I totally agree with you about Rosemary Ashe. Not only is her soprano phenomenal, but it was great to hear her belt "Evil" and "Dirty Laundry" in THE WITCHES OF EASTWICK!
Just to tell you, Christiane Noll is still into acting. She's been working on A TALE OF TWO CITIES and is on the concept recording as LUCIE MANETTE.

Carolee Carmello is the most underrated actress currently working in New York. She is extremely versatile, being able to portray roles as diverse as a Southern wife who goes to hell and back to defend her husband, a sister who goes to great lengths to keep the memory of her war hero brother alive while raising her son alone, a wife of a homosexual who is having an affair with a young student, and an actress in love with a neurotic lyricist. There is nothing this woman can't do. Couple that with a pristine voice and the fact that she is one of the nicest actors around. To quote the title of a show she was is, she is a true class act!
Thank you LucilleandLeoFrank, I was just going to write that about Carolee. She is truly the greatest talent on Broadway.

You're quite welcome!
For me, Carolee is a return to old-time Broadway. I would see her in anything.
She'd be a great Babe in Pajama Game.
We'll have to settle for her in Lestat for now though.

I'm only going to see Lestat because of her. I think she would make a great Sally in Follies.
Yes she would. I'm sure she'll do it in some regional production. She'd be a good Mrs. Lovett too.
