I read that the show is between 2 hrs 30 min and 2 hrs 45 min, but they include only a little over an hour worth of music. Since there is no dialogue (or so I think?), what is in between the songs on the CD? More Billy Joel music, maybe the classic pieces he wrote?
Thanks. Sorry, I thought I read somewhere it was over 2 hrs.
The show is short, but to elongate it from the CD they added some more verses in some of the songs ("We Didn't Start the Fire" and "Goodnight Saigon" are two that I know of) they also began the show with "It's Still Rock and Roll to Me" which wasn't included on the Cast Album.
I could be wrong, but I think I read somewhere that the CD was recorded during the Chicago run, and that's why both "Still Rock 'n Roll to Me" and "New York State of Mind" aren't on there. "New York State of Mind" is also considered more of an encore, which is why they didn't put in on there, I think.

I don't like the "Movin' Out" recording... I just feel like I'm listening to Billy Joel cover album.
I only like "Scenes From an Italian Restaurant" and "Uptown Girl."
