I wish Cheyenne were one of the contestants instead of the host. I want to see him in the swimsuit competition.

pianodan - How do you know?
And who else is going to be in the show? I haven't read any news on it since the announcement. I'm excited to hear that Gary is hosting!

I suppose I could be wrong, but has there EVER been a telecast of a Broadway-related benefit? And if there was some sort of broadcast involved, it would have been mentioned in the press releases - not to mention plugged here by the marvelous producing team (most of whom I know, full disclosure). Of course, we'll hopefully see footage from the usual suspects - BWW TV, Broadway.com, etc.
(Remember too, the theatrical unions would have to get involved if there were a broadcast, and make the whole thing much more expensive. That's one reason why there are so few PBS and other national theater telecasts. Not that I don't love and appreciate my union!)
Oh, to answer the other question, they announced the contestants a few days ago:

"I suppose I could be wrong, but has there EVER been a telecast of a Broadway-related benefit?"
I think that's really sad.
It's one of the reasons that musical theatre has become sort of pushed back, and only fully enjoyed for those who can fully afford it usually.
It's should be on television, no question.

You're right... it'd be so fun to see a telecast of those Seth Rudesky concerts or Broadway Bares. People would watch, and it'd make more people interested in Broadway as a whole.
They plugged "Mr. Broadway" on the Logo Network the other day.... too bad they're not filming.
