I don't have a problem with any specific Disney movie being translated to broadway, because many of them would make great stage musicals, but I hate the practice in general. So while Mulan would be great, it would only be great if BatB, TLK and Tarzan hadn't come before. Or if they miraculously all closed at once.

"Mulan" might work well on stage. I wonder, though, if Lea would be considered too old for the role now.

Mulan is based on an old Chinese legend about a female warrior. It would translate well onto the stage, the story is not Disney's story, per se, but based on an old Chinese folk tale.

So we can keep Disney out of it :)

Oooh yes. Mulan on stage would be fabulous! Like someone said, if it incorporated Chinese theatrical style and had acrobatics etc, it would be brilliant. I would love to see it, but highly doubt it will ever happen. Alas
