From Enos' performance, I didn't gather that she was smashed from the very first act. I had no idea why she was acting so strangely with her weird Judy Garland-like inflection and strange accent. I didn't get that she was "drunk" until later on.
And I agree, I thought Turner was amazingly strong in act three.
Foie gras compared to hot dogs? Are you saying that foi gras is supposed to be good?
It just seemed to me that Turner herself was confused where she should take the character in the third act. Almost as if she didn't know when to take and when to give. And because of her uncertainty, and her becoming devastated so early on, the "news" has nowhere near the impact it should have.

Munk, I know that you are a militant vegetarian (which is okay). I was making a comparison between a food item that is considered to be very upper crust and refined (foie gras) with a food item that is considered ordinary (hot dogs).
I no longer think Irwin will win Best Actor, after seeing "The Pillowman" yesterday. I think it's a two-way race now between Crudup and O'Byrne.
I haven't seen PILLOWMAN or DOUBT yet, but just based on Irwin's performance last night, I wouldn't be surprised if he wasn't nominated.
He'll definitely be nominated, in my opinion.
I'm pretty sure he'll be nominated if for nothing but the nature of the role.
His performance was flawed, however, and I doubt he has any real chance at winning.
My best Actor predictions
Bill Irwin
Billy Crudup
Brian F. O'Byrne
Jeff Goldblum
Adam Arkin

I'd replace Arkin with James Earl Jones on that list.
And you can't rule out Denzel Washington getting a nod. (A win?)
Wouldn't all of the Glengarry boys be considered Featured?

The Glengarry actors were all considered featured back in 1984; we'll see if the same thing happens with the revival.
Oh, I forgot about all of those people. I'm going to replace Arkin with Denzel, and I'm thinking about dropping Goldblum for Jones.
I think that "Glengarry" actors will be considered featured.

It doesn't matter who hates the show...NO ONE can say ANYTHING bad about Turner!
I wasn't saying anything bad about her.
Just her Third Act performance.
I just wish her brilliance in the first two acts had carried over.

I wasnt telling people they couldn't say anything bad about Turner, I was just saying no one could because everyone agrees that she's great in "Woolf"...
...but thats ok that you find flaws in her performance, you're entitled to your own opinion and i respect that, sorta
