I can't write a review on this show, because there's nothing to say. You can't pick apart the sets, or the book, or the lighing, or even the acting - everything is top-notch. I cannot recommend this show enough to you all - it is so fantastic that it is even worth the $251 for priority seating if that's all you can get. I started off by thinking, "why do I care about Billy Crystal's family and his childhood? I'm not even a Billy Crystal fan." I was quickly put at ease (after the woman next to me passed out and had to be taken to the hospital.) He brilliantly tells a bunch of different stories from his childhood, acting out all of his different family members - most noteably, a famous Jazz musician (whose name escapes me) and his aunt. His aunt's phone conversation with her friend Reba (about a gay wedding) is one of the highlights of the show. Act one was pure comedy (for the most part,) and the laughs just keep coming. And don't worry, there are even a few about our beloved president, Donald Trump, and so on. Act Two takes a rather somber tone right from the beginning, and everyone (including my sister and I) in eyesight was wiping their eyes with tears. He is a master storytelling, and it's fascinating to hear about (and basically see) all the events in his life that has led him to this point. He's truly remarkable, and his stories are wonderful. The final scene is a big tearjerker (atleast for me) and certainly made me want to call my parents and tell them how much I love them. This show should be seen by ALL - I give it my HIGHEST recommendation.
