I just ushered for "Murder for Two" at Second Stage tonight, and oh my goodness - GO SEE THIS SHOW! I don't post a lot on this message board (I read a lot), but when I see a really good off-the-beaten-path show I feel really compelled to tell people about it. I may buy a ticket just to see it again :)

I just saw Murder For Two. I did the 20 for $20 deal at New World Stages (cash only) and can't stop talking about it. I loved the show and can't believe more people aren't talking about it. I went to theater camp with Brett, one half of the show, and he was amazing. Joe, who also wrote the book and music and is the other half of the show was insane! The show is laugh after laugh, it doesn't take itself too seriously. Anyways, go see it if you can. It got extended until July and for good reason.

I echo the enthusiasm for the show. It's truly a 100% enjoyable piece of entertainment with an exceptionally talented duo of a cast.

"The Spectacle has, indeed, an emotional attraction of its own, but, of all the parts, it is the least artistic, and connected least with the art of poetry. For the power of Tragedy, we may be sure, is felt even apart from representation and actors. Besides, the production of spectacular effects depends more on the art of the stage machinist than on that of the poet."

I saw it around October last year and loved it! So much fun, great music, and overall a hilarious night at the theatre. Thrilled that it recently extended its run at New World!!
