Posted: 2/5/05 at 9:29pmIs there any chance that "Bare" will make it back to New York? I didn't see it during its initial run. I was planning to catch it when it came to Dodger Stages, but we all know how that one turned out. I downloaded the songs and really like them. I'd like to see it.

I was at Dodgers' tonight, seeing Modern Orthodox, and every time I saw a Bare poster or marking, I wanted to cry.
And when I saw the theatre it was supposed to go into, I literally did cry.

What did you think of "Modern Orthodox"? I hated it. How full was the performance?
I went to the website, and it said that Dodgers was holding a stage for it should the finances become available.

Haha, mef. I just posted that on the Modern Orthodox thread.
Overall, it was just very mediocre. I thought the set design was nice. I wondered if Jenn Harris' choices were hers' or James Lapine's... her delivery and overall performance was just so different from the others. I almost felt like she was in a different play at times. I don't know... it wasn't abysmal. I thought Jason Biggs did quite well for himself onstage.
I don't think Bare will happen... I don't understand why. I've relinquished hope though. The original cast was just wonderful... It was truly one of the most honest, heartfelt, brilliant pieces of theatre I've ever seen. Such a god awful shame. It makes me so sad. Why won't ANYONE finance it? Geez.

Posted: 2/6/05 at 8:17amI'm also very doubtful, but I can hope, can't I? What are the chances that they will make a recording? Probably as good as the show making it back to New York, right?
