I think it's pretty hilarious. It was our present for the last day of acting class =(.
That ending was a very Joss Whedon ending, that's what. Haha. Happy endings don't exist in his evil genius of a mind.

Episode II was my favorite I think. Especially that first song. When is Neil Patrick Harris coming back to Broadway?
YAY! I love Dr. Horrible. Watched it for free on the site (they are taking it down after tomorrow 7/20) and bought it for my Ipod. I wish people wouldn't be so critical. It's something they did during the writers strike to be creative and to produce something fun on little money. Can't wait for the DVD!
That was pretty terrific! :)
I seriously loved this. It's so clever! But then, I like fractured stories where you get into the villain's mind and I write them myself. It was sheer brilliance. Sure, the music isn't perfect, but the story's amazing! Plus, NPH. 'nuff said.
I was loving it but the ending took me by surprise and not in a good way but after I thought about it, I agreed with the person who said that it had to end that way. I wish they would have left room for more episodes though... Have they said when the DVD would be out?

As a huge fan of Joss Whedon, Nathan Fillion (from even back in the day with Two Guys, a Girl, and a Pizza Place) , and of course NPH. So I expected to like this. I really did. Never in my mind did I expect to really love it, nor did I expect it to be this good. I mean, if it were a Broadway musical, that's one thing. But for a web series? Beyond top notch. Excellent mix of various musical genres (especially with the letters from Bad Horse). Catchy songs that, while not as memorable as those in OMWF, still hold there own when one considers the limited time and cast members for the project. The fact that in three short acts I could be so connected to the characters (especially Act III) really just goes to show what a man like Whedon can do. My favorite song for the moment is "With My Freeze Ray (I Will Stop The World)".
In case you missed it the first time, the whole thing's up again...
Available on Hulu

Hah, I love the ideas for Bad Horse!
edit; wasn't it Mad Horse now that I think about it? Or am I forgetting something?

No, it was Bad Horse.
Since it hasn't been addressed directly yet... YES, there will be a DVD release, but no date has been announced to my knowledge. Also, according to Joss, there will be a musical commentary track on the DVD. And apparently a 4th installment is already in the works.
And for those debating the ending, I think Nathan Fillion said it best at Comic Con: Dr Horrible got everything and Billy got nothing. VERY Joss Whedon ending. *JossLove*
Friend shared it with me, I fell in love.
The soundtrack is now available on iTunes! Huzzah!
Off to iTunes to give more money to two people who've already taken way too much of my money and given me great value in return -- Steve Jobs and Joss Whedon.
