The article actually goes into further detail about the cast. With the exception of Jo, all major roles are announced. They have an actress in mind for Jo and she is why they postponed the show.

They are interested in snagging Kerry O'Malley for the role of Jo March, and she is tied up with "A Tree Grows in Brooklyn" until December 14. Sutton Foster is also in talks to land a role.
Bill Finn rocks. Woot.

I am kind of excited about this project. I also agree that Sutton would be great in the show. I think it will be a feel good, classic show. I think Tammy Blanchard would be great in any of the roles.

There is so many different scripts of this show. I hope they make it interesting. What are some song titles that would fit the story?

Depending on how much singing the mother character has, I think that Patty Duke would be great for the mother part.
Is McGovern a sure thing?

Dianne Carroll would be great as the mother. Or, Harvey Fierstein would be an interesting choice if he's not still doing HAIRSPRAY.

Am I the only one rather unsure of John Hickok as Friederich?

I'm glad to see Sutton is finally, most likely, leaving Millie. I haven't seen her, nor do I know whether she's "good" in it, but I day it's time to move on to a new project. In the words of her beloved 12 yr. old fans on her Official Site Message Board..."Go Sutty!"

we dont call her that! that sounds like something else. and we are all not twelve! thought there are a couple of people around that age, there are lots of college age people that i'm sure act more maturely than some here

my friend is Sutton's dresser and he told me that she gets tons of offers, but she is so happy to be where she is so she has not wanted to leave. Coming from the chorus and "making it" she knows what it's like to be not be working so i guess she never wanted to leave her good gig. I wouldn't either.
