Can someone refer me to good books that talk about the creative process behind Wonderful Town or Pippin? I'm doing some research for an article.

Thanks in advance.

There are a couple of bios of Bob Fosse that discuss the making of Pippin:

-- Razzle Dazzle: The Life and Works of Bob Fosse by Kevin Boyd Grubb

--All His Jazz: The Life and Death of Bob Fosse by by Martin Gottfried

For Wonderful Town, you might check through the various bios of Leonard Bernstein and Roz Russell, and I know Betty Comden has an autobiography that I've never gotten around to reading that might have some info

So funny, that I just picked up the Ostrow book this past week and haven't had a moment to even look at it yet. It does have about 8 pages on Pippin.

Is there a preface to that 3 New York musical collection of Comden and Green? I also liked Stuart Ostrow's A PRODUCER'S BROADWAY JOURNEY, but I don't remember how much time he devotes to PIPPIN.
