I have a paper for an English class that has to consist of an arguement. Our general topic is the arts and I would like to do something involving musical theatre. Does anyone have any ideas for a topic? Perhaps something along the lines of comparitive musical theatre?

Comparing maybe a musical based on a book to the novel it was based on, or something?

WIth an argument, you can't use your person beliefs, so it's going to be hard and not say "I enjoyed the book better than the show."

And make sure you've seen the show, or atleast heard the recording, that you're making the argument about.
