I've always been partial to "Twelve Days to Christmas" from SHE LOVES ME. It's very clever.

Practically the entire scores to SCROOGE, HOLIDAY INN, and any Christmas TV special that comes to mind. Two of my favorites aren't from shows, but they have terrific covers for holiday decor. Here they are-
Merry Christmas, Little Friend by Rodgers and Hammerstein
I Thank You For Your Love by Jones and Schmidt
Turkey Lurkey Time, of course. I also like "Hard Candy Christmas", though I'm pretty sure it was already recorded by Dolly Parton before it was used in the show (I need to Google that).
Although it's not exactly a holiday song, "My Favorite Time of Year" from Catch Me If You Can definitely has that sound, and I love it!

Nope- Hard Candy Christmas was written for the show by Carol Hall. Dolly only became associated with it when she did the movie, but it was always in the show.
Not "Holiday Songs", just say it, Christmas Songs.
Thanks Jamesilsley! My extended family is very southern so I always just assumed it was a Dolly song :p
Just curious-- are there ANY other holidays that have been commemorated in Broadway shows other than Christmas? An odd Halloween, Arbor Day or Rosh Hashana song perhaps?
Sure there are a few with a Happy New Year theme (Sunset Boulevard and Cabaret come to mind), but none of them is much of an anthem.
And sorry, "Easter Parade" doesn't count if we're talking Broadway...

Schmidt & Jones' CELEBRAQTION is set on New Year's Eve.
IN THE HEIGHTS takes place on the 4th of July.
And by the way, the song "Easter Parade" was originally written for the Broadway revue, AS THOUSANDS CHEER.
good news, Jon, I happily stand corrected. Thanks :)
Godspell - Oh God I'm Dying (Easter)
1776 - The Egg (July 4th)
Jesus Christ Superstar - Crucify Him! (Good Friday)

It's "And I Will Always Love You" that was written by Dolly Parton and inserted into the movie soundtrack, long before Whitney Houston recorded it.
Let's don't forget "Surabaya-Santa" from Jason Robert Brown's "Songs for New World." I've always thought that what Christmas really needs are more Brechtian parodies.
ah, and another that's become a standard
Ertha Kitt's showstopping Santa Baby from New Faces of 1952
