My Amazing Matinee at "Caroline or Change" !!!

Today was a very LUCKY 13th time !!! Show was amazing as usual !
All regulars in, and Tonka Pinkins sounded amazing !!! Time off certainly did her well. After the show, I decided to hang out for just a few minutes (REALLY had to get home and move my car- hate alternate side !!)... by the stage door. In what had to be less than 5 minutes, Ms. Pinkins came out ! She was so nice. Had my "Caroline" tee on, and told her it was my 13th time at the show. She then shook my hand, and said it was a pleasure to meet me, and she asked me my name. She personalized a note to me on my Playbill, Had my camera, and someone was very gracious in taking a picture of the two of us, that I can not wait to see !

Few seconds later, met Anika Noni Rose. SUCH a sweetheart !! Got her autograph, and picture as well. Love her !!!

Also, learned a lot today !! You gotta love the Matinees...

- Ms. Pinkins plays Caroline Thib-E-Ducks
- She won the Tony for this
- Apparantely, the show is a hit with the Bridge crowd. Many referred by Bridge players
- Kennedy WAS the President that was killed

And at the same time as the theater being very cold, it was also..extremely hot !!!

We must both be on glue Matt_G, I didn't understand that either...

Its truly incredible that 20 people complain about the theater being "an icebox" and another 20 thought it was "an oven"-

Very hard to get the temperature exactly right for the matinee people....

I wish I'd been there...but I got to see I am My Own Wife instead, so it was worth it.

Did you happen to find out from Tonya if she will be in next week to close the show or what!? Im going twice next week and I hope she is there.

Looks like the show WILL close the 29th as originally stated, and word is that Ms. Pinkins will be doing all remaining shows.
