I just bought a bunch of considerablywell known cast recordings and wanted your opinions.

"City of Angels" OBC
"My Fair Lady" OBC
"Gypsy" OBC
"Hello, Dolly!" OBC
"Jane Eyre" OBC
"Jekyll and Hyde" Concept

CITY of ANGELS is by far my favorite cast recording I own.

I personally feel that My Fair Lady are Jane Eyre are better listened to than watched, and Hello Dolly the opposite (though the recording is a lot of fun).

i wish that the concept JH had been Eder and Warlow.
OR...an album with Eder, Warlow and Noll. i loved her voice as Emma.

Yea, Linda and Anthony are great together. I also have the studio cast recording. I heard and read that it was long out of print, but I went to a Sam Goody and it was there. The funniest thing is that the glue holding the inside together was hardened and falling apart. So I always make the joke that it was sitting in that store for 10 years. But it's nice to hear Colm's interpretation.

Yeah, but Carolee is amazing. That alone makes the concept album worth it.

I really like Jane Eyre. It takes a little while to get into, at least for me, so I can see why it didnt last, but the more I listen to it, the more brillant I think it is.

I love City of Angels but I prefer the OLC. It sounds more like a cast recording to me.

I guess the story of Jane Eyre is just difficult to get into, I read the book a few months back and it took me a while to get through, but boy what a story!
